Some thoughts on the Jimmy Kimmel situation.
We are the canaries in the coalmine. Not some rich guy getting fired. Rather, how society and the government treats the disabled, the indigenous, people of color, immigrants, the unhoused, trans people, anyone who is marginalized… That should be your indicator for how bad things are getting. We’ve been sounding the alarm for awhile now, but society as a whole only listens now that it’s some rich mfs getting shit canned.

The main Charlie Kirk doxxing websites are down!
I mentioned in a post a few days ago that right wingers had been establishing websites to doxx and harass people who hadn’t been expressing outright sympathy for Charlie Kirk and denouncing so called “political violence.”
Well, I am pleased to announce that the main site has been down since Sunday and the site that was intended to be a database of those “celebrating political violence” has been down since Monday.
I’m not sure if they were hacked, simply forced to shut down, or what. Either way, I consider this cause for celebration.

I played around with a new form of poetry today at workshop.
This was the result:
It’s called a Giotto. I slightly modified the format, though.
I also scored a ukulele at this pay what you can rummage sale by singing for it.

I had a wheelchair outing today.
Emerson and I figured out that my wheelchair collapses and we went to the orchid exhibit at the Milwaukee Domes. I did not get an orchid, but I did get a teeny tiny succulent 💛 He then set me loose on the way back to the car and I zoomed through the parking lot to from the Domes to the car. Then we went to get McDonald’s ice cream. Now we’re headed home. It’s been a nice day so far.

Update on the Charlie Kirk investigation.
So it turns out that there WERE engravings on the ammunition used to assassinate Charlie Kirk, Utah governor Spencer Cox confirmed today, and there is a suspect in custody. His name is Tyler Robinson. I’ve seen a lot of posts claiming he is a Republican, but that’s just a rumor as far as I can tell. His family, from everything I’ve seen thus far, is.
Regarding the inscriptions themselves, the first and the last message are memes. The second and third are antifascist-related. “Bella Ciao” is an Italian anti-fascist folk song.
So no, he isn’t a Republican. But beyond his very apparent hatred for Charlie Kirk and usage of “Bella Ciao” and “hey, fascist, catch”, there isn’t much evidence suggesting he’s a leftist, either, on socials, in voter records, or otherwise.
Nonetheless, as I said in yesterday’s post, if you are a leftist, please stay safe out here. Right wingers have started putting up websites to doxx, harass, and threaten people allegedly “celebrating political violence”, most notably the site charliesmurderers(dot)com. I don’t want to link to the site directly in order to avoid being harassed or anyone else being harassed by association. We all deal with enough without having to deal with right wingers targeting us.
