  • Weird dreams abound.

    So I had a dream last night where I was asked to officiate at the last second for a couple because their officiant bailed, only to find out that the groom had no idea wtf a marriage license even was, didn’t even know where his birth certificate had gone so that they could APPLY for a marriage license, and the bride wasn’t all that invested either. When she found out that we’d have to reschedule the wedding or else it wouldn’t be legally binding at all, she went “oh well, I guess we can play darts instead like you did during YOUR first wedding!” I was like “wtf? I didn’t throw darts during my first wedding?????”

    And it got even stranger because when I woke up, I told Emerson about this batshit dream. He was shOCKED because I was describing HIS COUSIN’S WEDDING almost to a T, and during his aunt’s first wedding, they’d played darts! I didn’t know ANY of this beforehand.

    Hell yeah for going back in time in my sleep I GUESS…

    Both Emerson and Zelda are at work, so I’m alone for now and trying to rest and catch up on things. I feel like I should be doing more, but I’m not sure what I should be doing, plus I’m still trying to get over this blasted cold to boot. Maybe I’ll take a nap and see if I get any ideas… More later, perhaps? -Allēna

  • Just re-watched Only Lovers Left Alive buried under a pile of blankets.

    Eight watched it with his ex Leigh when he fucked off to Madison, WI for eight months by mistake once, it was one of her favorite movies. Leigh was a hottttt mess, but she had great taste in movies for some reason, and Only Lovers is no exception. It’s a Jim Jarmusch film and every single goddamn frame is a work of art. I love movies and TV, Eight did not, so I remember Leigh having to practically beg, borrow, and steal to get him to watch it. It was worth it, though, and now it’s our favorite vampire movie. Well worth the watch, in my opinion.

    I went to Build a Burger-Build a Breakfast in Milwaukee’s Third Ward with Emerson and it was so fucking good, it might be my new favorite breakfast place here so far 💛
