I was so tired that I fell asleep without writing yesterday.
I confess that I’ve been holding out on y’all. We got a new apartment and are moving in slowly but surely! It’s a helluva workout and very hard on both Emerson and I, but even the cats are more relaxed now. -Allēna

Emerson and I saw the film Amadeus today at the Oriental Theater here in town.
It was honestly badass to watch it again with a great set of speakers on the big screen in such an awesome venue. 💛 -Allēna

I feel like I finally made a breakthrough in my fatigue today.
I also finally finished the movie Arrival and I’m currently watching the Imitation Game. Emerson and I are taking turns with the TV every other night so we can both watch what we want to watch without one of us hogging the TV for too long. Emerson also made a take on tom kha soup…

Emerson and I managed to pay a visit to our favorite witchy shop today.

I was so tired and weak yesterday that I didn’t do much at all.
But Emerson did make these fantastic open faced steak melts and I worked a bit more on developing my set list for Linneman’s on January 5th. We also watched Priscilla, the Priscilla Presley biopic. It was fucking cool. -Allēna

I swear to God the state of Wisconsin is bound and determined to make it as hard as possible for divorcées to get remarried.
Emerson and I have been on not one, but two wild goose chases to the courthouse to try and apply for our damn marriage license. I keep seeing reasons for the six month waiting period like “it’s to keep families together” and “to make sure divorcées are making the right decision and not jumping into…
